Remittance Regulatory Frameworks and Accessibility of Regular Remittance Channels of the Colombo Process Member States

Project
Topic: Remittances
Region: Asia
Client: International Organization for Migration

The IOM commissioned DMAG to undertake a study on the remittance regulatory frameworks and accessibility of regular remittance channels in the Colombo Process Member States (CPMS).

Field missions were conducted to three CPMS (Bangladesh, Cambodia and Indonesia) to interview key stakeholders, including private and public sector organisations and migrant groups. Based on the research, recommendations were made to improve accessibility of formal channels for migrants and to enhance the laws, regulations, policies and strategies in each country.
