Projects we've done

We've had the pleasure of working on some very innovative and strategic projects that have moved the world closer to reducing remittance costs, leveraging diaspora remittances and investments for development, digitizing payment systems and creating a more financially inclusive world. Some of our reports are available for download here. Here are a few projects we're particularly excited about:

Paving the Way for Digital Financial Services in Jordan

DMAG was approached by CGAP to research the Jordanian remittances market to inform development interventions and pilots aimed at improving access to financial services for low-income Jordanians and Syrian refugees living in Jordan. The research focused of assessing the supply of services for both the domestic and international payments market. A detailed analysis of eight corridors, varying in size and the potential for digitisation, was completed to assess the viability of launching a digital pilot.

Remittance Prices Worldwide

DMA has been managing this landmark remittance price survey since 2008 when it was commissioned by the World Bank. DMA has a deep understanding of RSPs in all key send and receive markets. Over this time, the database has grown significantly to cover more than 300 global remittance corridors. Through mystery shopping the research team obtain pricing data to highlight the true cost of global remittances using a methodology devised by the World Bank following the ‘5 by 5’ Initiative. The data is collated and presented in an easily digestible format on the RPW website so that it is understandable for non-technical policy makers and development professionals alike.

Send Money Africa

DMA was commissioned by the African Union, to manage research and to provide data analysis and market insight on trend changes in price, product offerings and market conditions in over 50 corridors to Africa. DMA also provide an easily digestible quarterly report for members of the African Union and other interested partners on trends observed for that quarter.
